She studied Theatre Arts at Western Washington University before moving to Chicago to pursue her career in comedy. The ever-optimistic Rashawn moved to the city in the dead of winter of 2013. (Who does that?) Thankfully she survived the winter and started taking improv classes and inserting herself into the improv community. Playing on independent teams and honing her skills. In 2014 Rashawn was a recipient of the inaugural Bob Curry Fellowship, an 8 week masterclass offered by the legendary Second City. Following the program Rashawn was tapped to understudy Second City's Mainstage and national touring company. She’ll be seen in the upcoming Comedy Central Series Southside. Summer 2018 Rashawn moved to Los Angeles for the CBS Diversity Showcase. Since landing in Los Angeles Rashawn has had her hand in amazing productions.
